Craig describes his art as a journal — a visual record of the feelings and insights bubbling in his stream of consciousness as he moves through time with his eyes open.

That consciousness is in love with nature and its untamed creatures — the unfiltered joy of a child in an adult's body, a child who digs the sight of hawks, fish and lions. Rubadoux may see with a child's eyes, but he paints with an adult's mind — a highly trained mind possessing a deep understanding of line, color, mass and space.

Rubadoux' art can be seen in public and private collections including the Guggenheim Museum, New York; the High Museum of Art, Atlanta; the Museum of Art, Fort Lauderdale; the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg; and The Ringling in Sarasota.
