Rob Buckland-Nicks

A graduate of one of Europe's finest art colleges, St. Martins School of Art and design in London, where he studied painting and sculpture.

Rob has always had a special relationship with birds-especially the European Kingfisher.  When living in England, this rare, iridescent blue and timid bird would always appear to him at challenging moments in his life, lifting his spirits and guiding him a long his path.

Birds of Canada painted on stone - detailed acrylic paintings on naturally evolved ocean stone to suggest mountains, oceans, mists and ledges, trees and grasses, sounds and silence.  Rob's paintings capture that moment in time as birds move through the landscape.
